Brooks Brothers, the standby of North America's Ivy League classes has subtly built a global presence from Malaysia to Scotland since Italian entrepreneur Claudio del Vecchio bought it a few years ago. Now it's courting famous designers such as Thom Browne, who has come up with a range called black fleece, testing "design options" while remaining "true to the essence of the Brooks Brothers legacy."
